GOAL STATEMENT #2:

Provide professional risk management support, services, and training utilizing a variety of resources, including staff and outside consultants.

2008 OBJECTIVE STATEMENTS

  1. Provide risk management training to the MVRMA Executive Director and staff by sponsoring their attendance at appropriate PRIMA/AGRIP events and other relevant conferences and seminars.
  2. Provide members with an analysis of their losses by type of loss, departments where losses are occurring and frequency of losses in conjunction with the loss fund contribution report.  Site visits will be made to those cities which have a five-year loss to premium ratio greater than 60%.
  3. Provide MVRMA orientation to new pool Trustees that includes a "spend the day" program with staff, and assign a mentor Trustee
  4. Further develop MVRMA's Contingency Plan and determine what cross training is necessary to prevent an interruption of services in the event an employee leaves with little notice.
  5. Review Section F. Management & Governance Activities of the Membership Survey for 2008 to determine if a more specific Board Assessment is necessary.
  6. Provide articles from pool professional journals to all Board Members.
  7. Provide members with the ability to report claims on-line, and explore the possibility of providing status reports on-line.
