Site Visits

MVRMA members are expected to show a high degree of commitment to loss control. It is the members' responsibility to develop and implement safety and loss control policies and procedures. To assist with these activities, MVRMA staff will generally make at least 2-3 Site Visits to each member city each year.  In addition to the SPEC evaluation and Claims Audit, other Site Visits may include:

1.  A meeting to discuss the loss control report prepared by the Loss Control Manager.

2.  A tour or inspection of various work sites (i.e. parks and recreational facilities, fire houses, parade routes, construction sites, golf courses, water treatment plants, etc.).  At that time, possible safety hazards would be discussed and practical solutions suggested.

3.  Discussions of federal and state regulatory requirements, updates of current litigation and other topical information pertinent to the member cities.

When appropriate, MVRMA staff will provide a written report of these activities to the Trustee.
